The Company invests in a range of industrial real estate, including warehouse/distribution, flex (including light industrial and research and development) and trans-shipment. As of December 31, 2016, the Company owned 166 buildings aggregating approximately 12 million square feet and five land parcels consisting of 22.8 acres. Its warehouse/distribution properties have interior access through dock high and/or grade level doors, and have truck court for large and small truck distribution options. The flex properties include single and multiple tenant facilities. The flex properties accommodate both office and warehouse/manufacturing activities; parking consistent with increased office use, and may include a showroom, service center, or assembly/light manufacturing component. The trans-shipment properties include truck terminals and other trans-shipment facilities, which serve both single and multiple tenants.
