BlackRock Global Energy and Resources Trust (the Trust) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust?ÇÖs investment objective is to provide total return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation. The Trust invests at least 80% of its total assets in the equity securities of energy and natural resources companies and equity derivatives with exposure to the energy and natural resources industry. Companies in the energy and natural resources industry include those companies involved in the exploration, production or distribution of energy or natural resources, such as gas, oil, metals and minerals, as well as related transportation companies and equipment manufacturers.
The Trust invests in sectors, such as oil and gas, pipelines, oil and gas services, coal, transportation, mining, metal fabricate/hardware, chemicals, electric, gas and commercial services. The Trust?ÇÖs investment advisor is BlackRock Advisors, LLC. Street Research & Management Company (SSRM) serves as the Fund?ÇÖs sub-advisor. BlackRock Advisors, LLC and SSRM are wholly owned subsidiaries of BlackRock, Inc.
