Machine Clothing
The Company's Machine Clothing segment supplies permeable and impermeable belts used in the manufacture of paper, paperboard, nonwovens, fiber cement and various other industrial applications. The Machine Clothing segment also supplies customized, consumable fabrics used in the manufacturing process in the pulp, corrugator, nonwovens, fiber cement, building products, and tannery and textile industries. The Company sells its Machine Clothing products directly to customer end users in countries across the world. It designs, manufactures and markets paper machine clothing for each section of the paper machine and for every grade of paper. Its Paper machine clothing products are customized, consumable products that utilize polymeric materials. Its Machine Clothing segment maintains manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Canada, China, France, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Albany Engineered Composites
The Company's Albany Engineered Composites segment includes Albany Safran Composites, LLC (ASC), in which its customer SAFRAN Group owns interest and provides engineered composite structures based on its technology to customers in the aerospace and defense industries. Albany Engineered Composites' program relates to CFM International's LEAP engine. Its Albany Engineered Composites segment designs, develops and manufactures composite parts for aerospace and other applications, using a range of core technologies, including its three-dimensional (3D) woven reinforced composites technology, two-dimensional (2D) laminated composite structures, automated material placement, filament winding, through-thickness reinforcement and braiding. Its manufacturing facilities include in the United States and France.
