Ellomay Capital Ltd. (Ellomay), incorporated on July 29, 1987, is engaged in the business of energy and infrastructure, and its operations primarily include production of renewable and clean energy. The Company owns approximately 16 photovoltaic (PV) plants that are connected to their respective national grids and operates as over 12 photovoltaic plants in Italy with an aggregate installed capacity of approximately 22.6 megawatt peak (MWp) and over four photovoltaic plants in Spain with an aggregate installed capacity of approximately 7.9 MWp. In addition, the Company indirectly owns an interest of Dorad Energy Ltd. (Dorad), and holds an option to increase its indirect holdings in Dorad under certain conditions. Each of the PV Plants is operated and maintained by a local contractor pursuant to an operation and maintenance (O&M) agreement executed between such contractor and its subsidiary that owns the PV Plant, or the PV Principal.
Dorad operates the Dorad Power Plant, a combined cycle power plant based on natural gas, with a production capacity of approximately 850 megawatts, located south of Ashkelon. The electricity produced by the Dorad Power Plant is sold to end-users throughout Israel and to the Israeli National Electrical Grid. The Company operates in Italy and in Spain through its subsidiaries that own over 16 PV Plants, and in Israel primarily through U. Dori Energy Infrastructures Ltd. (Dori Energy). The Company also has interests in Ellomay Spain S.L., which owns a photovoltaic plant in Spain with an installed capacity of approximately 2.3 MWp.
