Gran Tierra Energy Inc., incorporated on June 6, 2003, is an energy company engaged in oil and gas acquisition, exploration, development and production. Oil and Gas Properties-Colombia

The Company has interests in approximately 30 blocks in Colombia and it is the operator on over 20 of these blocks. Its blocks and fields include Chaza-Costayaco and Moqueta Fields, Guayuyaco-Guayuyaco and Juanambu Fields, Garibay-Jilguero Field, Llanos-22-Ramiriqui Field and over 11 Other Blocks. The Chaza Block covers approximately 46,676 gross acres in the Putumayo Basin. The Company is the operator and holds a working interest in this block. This block includes approximately 30 productive wells. The Company has Costayaco-25D and Costayaco-26D development wells in the Costayaco Field, and the Moqueta-17 and Moqueta-21D development wells in the Moqueta Field, as oil producers. It also commenced drilling the Costayaco-24D and Costayaco-27i development well and started pre-drilling activities for the Moqueta-20, 22 and 23 development wells. The Guayuyaco-Guayuyaco and Juanambu Fields covers approximately 36,656 acres in the Putumayo Basin. This block includes over 3.8 gross productive wells. The Company is in the exploration phase of Cauca-7 contract. The Company is in the first of two exploration phases of Putumayo-10 Block and Putumayo-1 Block. The Company also has working interests in Catguas Block in the Catatumbo Basin; Sinu-1 Block and Sinu-3 Block, and Putumayo-31 Block in the Putumayo Basin, among others.

Oil and Gas Properties-Brazil

Blocks REC-T-129, REC-T-142, REC-T-155 and REC-T-224 are located approximately 70 kilometers northeast of Salvador, Brazil in the Reconcavo Basin and cover over 27,076 acres. The Tie Field on Block 155 includes approximately two productive wells. Blocks REC-T-86, REC-T-117 and REC-T-118 are located north of the Company's other blocks in the Reconcavo Basin and cover approximately 20,658 acres. All three blocks are in the first exploration phase. This phase requires the acquisition of a total of approximately 120 square kilometers of three-dimensional (3-D) seismic on the three blocks and over two exploration wells to be drilled on Block REC-T-117 and over three exploration wells on Block REC-T-118.

Oil and Gas Properties-Peru

The Company's blocks in Peru include Block 95, Block 123, Block 129, Block 107 and Block 133. Block 123 and Block 129 are in the third exploration period. On Block 123, the current exploration period required an exploration well to be drilled or the completion of over 300 units of work. On Block 129, the current exploration period required an exploration well to be drilled or the completion of approximately 204 units of work. The Company is in the third exploration period.
