Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Buy-Write Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund?ÇÖs primary investment objective is to provide current income and gains, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of common stocks that seeks to exceed the performance of the S&P 500 Stock Index, and sells S&P 500 call options on a continuous basis. Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Buy-Write Income Fund seeks to generate current earnings in part by writing index call options on the S&P 500.
The Fund invests in sectors, such as financial services, information technology, healthcare, consumer discretionary, energy, industrials, consumer staples, telecommunications, utilities and materials. The Fund?ÇÖs investment advisor is Eaton Vance Management (EVM), a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. Pursuant to sub-advisory agreements, EVM has delegated a portion of the investment management to Parametric Portfolio Associates, LLC, an affiliate, and EVM has delegated the investment management of the Fund's option strategy to Rampart Investment Management Company. Investors Bank & Trust Company (IBT) serves as custodian of the Fund.
